    Two things - 

    1. You might find that the problem is caused by hardware acceleration. Try turning it off in Preferences and see whether that helps.
    2. There should be no cost to downloading and reinstalling the software if you want to do that. You can log in to your Capture One account and download the version you need. (Scroll down on the download page to find the link for previous versions.) You are limited to the number of activations you can have, but that only means how many computers you can have it activated on at once, not how many times you install it.
