How can I turn referenced images into managed images?
I have a 60,000 photos in Aperture that I want to move into Capture One. My images in Aperture are managed (i.e., stored entirely in the Aperture library). I've read many postings about how to do this, and have now tried two methods:
1) Use the command File ▹ Import Catalog ▹ Aperture Library… directly.
2) First convert the images in Aperture to be referenced images, then use the command File ▹ Import Catalog ▹ Aperture Library…
In both cases, Capture One did a great job of importing the folder/project/album structure and the image edits, but in both cases, the images ended up as referenced images: not in the Capture One catalog, but outside of it. I don't want to keep the images outside of Capture One.
How can I do the import in a way that will result in managed images in Capture One? Or failing this, how can I convert referenced images into managed images (in a way that preserves the edits made in Aperture, and preferably the folder/project/album structure)?

I haven’t checked this forum for quite a while, but if you haven’t yet figured this out…
to convert from referenced to managed, in Capture One just select the images you want and drag them into the catalog. To convert from managed to referenced, again in C1, select the images you want and drag them to whatever location you want. Just be sure that all of this is done within C1 and not from the Finder.
