Transparent bug tracking
This could either be a dedicated bug tracking page or somehow implemented in these forums. A proper way to describe bugs, how to reproduce them, list workarounds and voting for determining severity/priority.
In my opinion a bit more transparency in bug tracking would help. In this forum people are interested in finding out whether they are alone and/or are doing something wrong or if more fellow users experience the same and it could be a bug in the application.
The only way to currently find out whether CO is already aware is creating your own ticket.
With a community that can point others to known workarounds or manual pages in case of user error, it could alleviate some pressure on CO's support department.
If you would make your support's interaction around issues/bugs more transparent, other users can find the same and they don't need to send in their own request for support to reply to with the same suggestion or statement to wait for the next patch. With a bug tracker the users could simply vote up issues they also encountered and you get an idea of how widespread they are. As a user you'd also have your answer faster than waiting for a reply from support.
Yes, it would require work in properly managing the community / bug track page, but also save repetitive work elsewhere. Some policing is always needed to prevent unwanted harsh/blaming tone-of-voice replies by community members colouring the image and experience of your brand.

According to Christine Monberg some degree of change to Capture One's bug tracking system is already planned – see this thread.

Ah, I see now. Let's hope it'll work out to both help users looking for a fast(er) answer to the "is it just me or everyone?" question and alleviate some of the workload on support.

Hi @Propheticus - thank you for your feedback, it's really nice to hear some of the things we have in the pipeline being discussed on the forum. We plan to be more transparent moving forward and hope to be more involved with our community in general. Looking forward to speaking with you more :)
