My Thoughts on C1 on iPad Pro
I have the newest 13” M1 iPad Pro with 512 gigs of storage. I was really looking forward to C1 on it! I use C1 Pro on my MacBook Pro and desktop and think it is the best capturing and best raw processing solution with my Sony cameras. However, C1 in iOS has been a disappointment so far. I have been traveling and trying to use it downloading hundreds of photos so far and here are my thoughts;
- C1 has always been so much better than Lightroom, but this version lacks so many features, it’s just not worth the trouble. Until you implement masking, I have no use for it for my travel work.
- I have no use for the cloud saving options. Uploading an album to the cloud took too long to be useful. And it only uploaded while I have C1 running, that is just useless. Judging by the little blue circles progress, I would have had to have my iPad running the program for hours doing nothing else. I’ll just export shots to Dropbox if I want them in the cloud.
- iPad for iOS should be included in the C1 pro subscription I pay for already. Just like Adobe, I should get any iOS app included in my overall subscription cost. Maybe just have an option without the cloud service, which many will probably never use or want.
- I’ll keep using it for a month or so to finish my current trip, but so far, it’s not working for my needs.
Thank you and I’ll look forward to seeing how it progresses.

Hi Steve!
Thanks for your feedback and taking the time to try out Capture One for iPad. I've forwarded these comments on to our Product Management team, so they get to see this feedback.I hope Capture One for iPad can become a more integral part of your workflow with the improvements we're looking to make in the future. But it's feedback like yours that goes a long way to making it a better application.
Thanks again!
