Disable Freehand Rotation Grid?

Is it possible to disable, or change the colour / brightness of the Freehand Rotation Grid?

I'm editing a dark, inner-city night shoot, and the grid is so tight, and so bright, it's making it really hard (and uncomfortable) to see the image. The neon green lines feel like they're searing my retinas & are messing with my dark perception.

    oh, not to worry, workaround seems to be up and down arrows in the rotation degree field.

    The Rotation & Flip palette, if you click in the field to manually enter a degree amount, you can then use your up and down arrow keys on the keyboard, and it will nudge the rotation clockwise or anti-clockwise, without invoking the rotation grid.
