Improve file management options: e.g., synchronize folder currently broken
I switched from Lightroom CC to Capture One because it allows me to have a file-based library. File management and synchronization between what C1 shows and what's happening on disk could be a lot better.
Synchronizing a folder (to identify new files, remove missing files, check for metadata updates, etc...) just doesn't work and hasn't worked for several versions. This needs to be extensively tested for folders on network shares, sub folders in local directories, etc... it feels like a neglected feature that has skipped by unit tests.
Perhaps there could be a way to automatically sync a folder in the background and identify (through a color change?) if a discrepancy between the file storage and C1 library has been detected.
There should be an easier way to add newly imported photos to a new subfolder; currently this requires creating the new folder then dragging/dropping - but perhaps when creating the new folder, there could be a checkbox that says "add currently selected images to folder" which would save a step.
