Leica M11 Tethering

Exactly, which is why I thought it was odd that it worked. I had a 2m TB3 cable, connected it to the camera after setting the USB to PTP, then connected it to the laptop. I was doing that to see if I could download images from the camera to LR. Capture one was also open at the time. It then came up and asked if I wanted to register the M11 as one of my camera's, clicked yes, and the capture tab came up with the camera details showing it connected.

I was able to change camera settings, use live view and remote trigger. The only thing that didn't work well was when I used the "Zoom" focusing aid. It didn't zoom in, just showed up as a small square in the centre of the screen. Looks like it should be possible to make it officially supported.

Duncan, is this still working for you? They explicitly, sadly, state it is not currently able to tether. .

I've tried today to shoot some portraits with the M11 tethered to Capture One Pro and it worked flawlessly. I just had to set the camera USB to PTP and it was good to go. I was using a MacBook Pro's charging cable as a UBS C cable.

    Sorry Granny, I've been away.

Yes it still works although I don't think it is as robust as it needs to be to be advertised as "Working". It does seem a little cable dependent. I've found TB3 cables to work.
