Capture One's clear text error message apparently tells you why.

Seems pretty clear to me...

What's clear? That its the fault of the Fujifilm X-H2S?

Or that C1 is reading the RAF files incorrectly?

Seen from Capture One's side of things you try to HDR merge different sized images. Do what it takes to feed same size images to the HDR merge function.

I'm taking 3 successive captures--hand-held--in AE Bracketing mode with 0,-2,+2 exposure. Is the camera using different dimensions for each of the images? I don't think so.

Probably not, they are likely the same dimensions out of the camera. But I presumed you fed the the images to the merge function after Capture One had first demoasic'ed them, applied a lens profile etc. If so, you did not feed out of camera images to the merge function.
Report your observations if you believe you found a bug. Use the Submit a request at the upper right of this page. Whatever you present here, will never reach the right people at Capture One.

Hey Joseph,
i have exactly the same issue than you have. Cant merge my Fujifilm H2S Shots with CaptureOne. Have you find any solution for the problem yet? Thx a lot.

Yes, I have it working now.
Drive mode: AE BKT
In AE BKT Setting:
Frame/Step setting =
It was these settings that got it to work.

Thx a lot Joseph!
I tried nearly every setting...
I had shots with +/-5 Frames and 1 Step and +/-3 Frames and 2 Step; both worked in one situation and didnt in another. For me, it seems to be a "random" Problem. I ll try it again with my X-T2 tomorrow.

I had this same issue but just figured out the reason it was happening, its has nothing to do with any bracketing settings in-camera, but with Capture ones "lens corrections". Fujifilm cameras automatically apply a lens correction but if shooting raw apparently you can undo it and replace it with capture ones version of lens correction, which seems to be the default when uploading images.
The fix is simple, go to the lens correction tab, change the profile to "manufacturers profile". Copy this setting to all imported x-h2s photos.
It shouldn't change the way the image looks but will no longer confuse C1 into thinking the photos are different dimensions.0 -
I haven't had any further issue since I first posted the problem, but thanks for the explanation. Joseph
