On Screen RAW Image Doesn’t Match “Edit With” Tif
In Capture One 15.3.2.11, I’ll work on a RAW image (either a RAF (X or GFX) or a DNG (Ricoh)). I’ll get the image to where I like it and then use the “Edit With” function to create a TIF and send the image to Qimage One for printing.
What I’m noticing in Capture One is that the RAF/DNG image does not match the “Edit With” TIF. The RAF/DNG image has significantly more contrast. I would think the two should look the same.
I’ve tried exporting with different ICC Profiles and with both sixteen and eight bit and it’s still the same, the exported image has less contrast than the RAW image.
Has anyone else experienced this?
(For the record, I’m using a MacBook Pro with Monterey 12.5.1 and a profiled BenQ SW270C Display.)

That's typically a problem of colour profile. I don't have any issue, nor any difference between RAW and TIFF with my colour configuration.

Robert, thanks for the reply.
My issue is mostly with the contrast, not with the color. The borderline brights and darks on the RAW image (which just set off the Exposure Warning), do not set off the Exp Warning on the TIF. Those brights are darken and darks are brightened just slightly (and just enough not to set off the Exp Warning).
Essentially, it seems like the contrast has been lowered on the TIF.

Tiff looks fine, but need a lot of disk space

Hi Max,
I just tried exporting a PSD file. For me, the PSD matches my TIF files which don't match my original RAW file.
Time to take out a trouble ticket. :-(
