.NET framework missing
Just updated to 15.4.0.16 and cannot start the application. It tells me a .NET framework is missing and "download it now" does nothing. Tried other recommendations of adding .NET 6 and latest .NET 4 - this didn't work.
I cannot even uninstall the app. A window briefly appears and then disappears and nothing happens.

I got it to work, here's how:
- Go to Windows Event Viewer (start-X, "Event viewer")
- Select Windows Logs / Application
- After the list loads (takes a moment), find and click the red (!) Error with source ".NET runtime"
- In the description click the link at the very bottom. This goes to the exact download it needs. In my case, here's the link - yours may be different: https://aka.ms/dotnet-core-applaunch?framework=Microsoft.WindowsDesktop.App&framework_version=6.0.0&arch=x64&rid=win10-x64
After this installed I was able to start Capture One.

Great. That solved my problem.
Thanks.

I have the same issue today, but Craig's steps didn't work for me. Anybody else run into this and have a fix?

Did you install the middle one (Desktop runtime) for your system type*?
*:Nowadays x64 is most common. Check if you need x64 (64bit) or x86 (32bit) via [ start > search for "about your pc" > look at system type] or [ start > type "dxdiag" and enter > look at operating system]
