Option to prevent renaming of files in Capture One
As it is, it's easy to accidentally rename files: When you want to select an image and you accidentally click on (or next to) the file name instead of on the image, the file name is selected, and when you then press a shortcut, the file is renamed. Countless times I've discovered that image files have been renamed to c, h, v, etc. It would be useful if there was an easy way of preventing this, such as a simple on/off option to prevent renaming.
I'm aware that you can lock folders and their contents, but this prevents the creation and editing of sidecar files. You can, of course, lock the image files only, but I don't suppose anyone wants to lock thousands of files one by one. A workaround is to use a Terminal command (macOS) (see the description here) to lock certain files in a folder, but it would be nice not to have to do this every time you import new images into a catalogue + it requires some level of familiarity with the Terminal.
