CO 21 Won't Launch

This the second time capture one will not launch and freezes up.  Last time I had to deactivate, uninstall, and reinstall.  That worked but lost all my old edits (Catalogues).  Is this just how this program runs?  My worry is I will only have one more deactivation after this time.  Then what? Why is capture one doing this?  How do I prevent it?

    You misunderstand deactivations. Three activations doesn't mean you can only install it three times - it means you can only install it on three devices at the same time. if you do that and then replace one of them with a new computer, you have to deactivate one of the old installations, so that you still have one free to use on the new computer.
