CAPTURE ONE 21 DOES NOT SUPPORT RAW FILES FROM FUJI XH2/XH2S

Well, the camera was only released on to the market last month (if I understand it right) so it is not likely that Capture One 21 would support it. Often support for new cameras is a reason for upgrading as much as new features are.

It's really not a matter of being held to ransom! Why would Capture One (or any other software developer) update an old version to accommodate a new camera?

Ian, well done as you make some very valid points. I suppose I just wanted a rant when I found that my latest raw files wouldn’t download! I will probably upgrade to 22!

Capture one 22 doesn't support them either, hopefully an update is in the works. My X-H2's raw files are literally useless at this point.

I find that strange as I have downloaded the trial version of 22 and it works with the raw files from my XH2.

@Malcom - support of the XH2 was brought in with release 15.3.3 of Capture One 22, sp perhaps the previous comment was from someone who hadn't updated to that release.

Looks like it Ian. The compatibility list from Capture One clearly states support for H2 and H2s files and it works for me. I would be surprised if the .raf files my camera produces are different from the same files from the earlier camera as they are essentially the same camera with different sensors. I will be purchasing the upgrade when my trial finishes.

Perhaps you can answer a question that I have. I thought that Capture One had abandoned the specific camera versions and were going with just a pro version. However I have 2 prices available to me for the upgrade, one for Fuji only and one for Pro which covers all cameras🤔 It seems logical when I read it some time ago but maybe I got it wrong🤦🏼‍♂️

I'm sorry, I don't know. I use the Pro version, as I have files from more than one brand of camera, and I haven't got a handle on the situation with the brand-specific versions. I thought the same as you!

I have purchased the new Capture One software in order to support my X-H2s however, Then I find that the Capture 22 software won't load onto my older MAC in studio because it requires the New operating system. The wormhole continues.!!  So in order to use capture one upgrade to version 22, then throw out your 27" imac because it won't run the latest version of Apple software.  Crazy.

Capture One makes its system requirements very clear. Very hard to sympathise with someone who didn't do his "due diligence" and check.
