"Edit with"/"open with": Warning when selected: "edit all selected"

Hello, i am working with the German Version, so i hope the translation of task-naming is ok.

When opening a photo via "open/edit with (external editor)" whilst the "edit all selected items" ("Ausgew. bearbeiten") is acivated, c1 opens all selected photos with the external editor.

If this happened by accident when many pictures are selected, this can take a long time or even cause big problems. Therefore: I would love to have a warning - similar but vice versa  to the warning when exporting is only working on one item.

  I have had similar issues with the "edit selected" toggle including the one described by SebSch. It's especially frustrating if I'm comparing variants in the viewer, I forget that I have multiples selected and intend to delete a single variant,  but then they all disappear.  I then have to retrieve them from the trash folder.  But the edits are not transferred to trash, so they're all lost and I have to redo my edits all over again.

  I think it would work best if we had the option to toggle "edit selected" on each time we intended to perform an action on multiple images and it automatically reset itself to toggled off each time.  More often than not, I'm only performing one action at a time on multiple images.  If I need to do do more, I wouldn't mind having to click on the icon to toggle it on again as many times as needed.
