Why would it be better than the current targetted adjustment tools in Capture One, Giovanni?

Personally I can't stand the limitations of Control Points compared to brushes and other selection tools Capture One uses.

Adjustment tools implemented by C1 are excellent. On their side, control points offer a smart masking policy based on a combination of light, contrast and colour values that are very useful to euristically target regions of the images that need the same adjustments.
Of course, you can reach good results even if you have not this kind of tools at your disposal, using combination of magic brush, eraser tool  and luma mask; but the mask implemented by Nik Collection control points are fast, reliable , as I said, very smart.

I also don’t understand this request.  I’ve left DXO Photolab for C1 because of the  improved tools and interface/layers. I certainly wouldn’t want U point technology in C1, but that is just my view

I agree with Keith R. I have looked at apps with the "control point" system, and decided that I really didn't like it - I want to be able to put the mask where I want it, not where the software puts it.

For me, it is not "either" / "or", why can't we have both or a clever combination of it.

For example, I'd like to be able to use the Advanced Color Editor in the exact way as the Luma Range is used, a parameterized way to restrict the underlying mask to certain color ranges.
