option to LowerCase file extension

When I import new images (select and renamed inside Photo Mechanic with lowercase on). Capture One showed them with the lowercase extension.

But when I rename them inside Capture One (client request) the extension is changed to uppercase. Is it possible to have an  option to choose always lowercase or always uppercase at renaming?
