Portrait Retouching. Thoughts on C1 vs new versions of Lightroom specifically regarding AI?
I'm a commercial people photographer, so lot's of lifestyle and portraiture. I've been exclusively C1 for many years now, but starting to see what Adobe and others are doing with AI and starting to wonder if I need to rethink that. I'm one of those photographers who doesn't spend their time reading reviews, looking all over software updates etc, I'm busy shooting, planning new projects etc. I find the gear and tools I like and stick with them, but it looks like a lot of these AI feature are speeding up the retouching process so much that it's changing the economics of which software to use.
Interested to see how others are thinking about this and if you are sticking with C1, how you're incorporating other AI compatible programs into your workflows and if there's any news from C1 on bringing AI tools into the program.

Yes, the latest Lightroom update is VERY impressive—a real challenge to Capture One Pro to up their game substantially if they want to remain in the running.
The new AI masking tools are truly amazing, much beyond C1’s “Magic Brush.”
