Teacher issues while shooting, images not loading properly.

I have a brand new MacBook Air m2, shooting with a brand new usbc teather tools cable into my canon 5div. I am starting to have the issue that when I sjoot single files the photo does not load properly, if I skip back one images then back forward it is fine, but given that this used to never be an issue for me on the previous version of capture one and just fully purchasing the newest version of capstone I feel this is an issue I should not be having. Can anyone help? It is not a good look when shooting with clients looking over my shoulder.
