    it’s an (old) MacBook Pro (i7) running Catalina 10.15.7. 

    I realise it won’t support C1 23 but it’s managed so far withC1 22!

    Hello David,

    actually it should work for you, because the minimum requirement is an i3 processor and Catalina as operating system. The only thing that might be the problem is the graphics card. 
    I would maybe reinstall Capture One again. In the past you always hear from users that a complete reinstallation solves the problems.

    Thanks for the suggestions. I’ve given up after 4 re-installs and gone back to 15.4.1.7 the previous version which (thankfully) works again. I intend upgrading my laptop eventually but not at the moment. I’ll then go straight to C1 23 (for which I’ve already pre-paid).

    Hello David,
    it's a pity that it didn't work out for you. Fortunately, you can at least continue to work with C1 for the first time. Until the C23 version it will probably not take long as one hears from different sources. I hope that you then have more luck with the installation. Because there is nothing worse than when you can no longer do your job because a program no longer works.
