This should be a priority and not limited to Portraits as it should also include repetitive selections such as Sky or Subject when the Subject is not a human person. This should be part of the Add layer process, as an alternative option to empty mask or full mask.

These feature requests would get massive upvotes if people knew they existed and they were not buried.

Thanks for the input. Agree I was thinking of doing to feature request for that seperate. I changed the request to include other things like background, subject, sky etc and that it should be a part of the “add layer” process as you describe. I have done a lot of feature request and will post it in some of the FB groups I’m part of. Hopefully that will add some votes.

I bought both the C1 and the adobe photographer kit. Adobe's ai build mask are not accurate and the actual edge effects are not good enough. But it's improving all the time. It's dangerous if C1 doesn't keep up.
In fact, the magic brush is a great improvement, but at present it is still not smart enough, often adding a lot of elements blindly. I hope the magic brush can add some ai elements.
Others are perfect at present, if can refer to luminar to add some AI functions, of course, it is better, such as changing the sky.

I was very disappointed that this was not in v23, the selection mask should adapt itself to a series of photos too. For example I might have a group of 8mages all similar scene but different poses. I should be able to edit one using AI masks as above and then copy and paste all adjustments (including masks) to the rest of the images in the group.

I really hope C1 don’t lose too much ground to the competition on this, it’s a serious need from modern photo development software.

Stephen: It would have been great if it was in C23. Let's hop they can implement this soon...
