Order of imported photos

In older versions, importing images into an album that had been sorted manually resulted in the order of the imported files being random. Is this the setting in which you observed imports being out of order? In version 21 and 22, the imports were appended in name order. If this is not so in version 23, you should submit a support request.

    Thank you for your reply.
When I rename photos imported into the catalog, they are numbered in random order, not by date.
I have sent this to support.

    Thanks for the information.
It is still a bug. I've tried everything.
It was not working at all. This is very troubling.
I have to do a lot of work in vain, sorting the disparate items by date and then batch renaming them.
I have sent a request to support but have not heard back yet.

Same problem in v. 23 on MacBook Pro. Terrible!

I want to chime in here as well to report the same problem. Ever since 23 the sort order is completely out of whack and I can't find a pattern to it.

The strangest thing is when the order of events is correct, but sequences fired in burst mode are all appearing in reverse.

Kendrick Dettmers - are you on the latest release of Capture One 23? There was a bug fix in release 16.0.2 that may be related to the problem you are seeing.
