Help re folder dates

Hi, and thanks for any help. If I import three separate camera cards on the same day, C1 gives me three separate import folders. Is there a way to ensure separate cards on the same day are always imported to the same folder/date. Many thanks. I cannot figure out the solution. Brain dead, I guess.
