Session Tools Locked

In the middle of making adjustments to a session of photos, all the tools have suddenly grayed out and locked.  How do I unlock them?  I don't see "File -> Unlock Catalog" as Lily suggested.

Help!

    Do you mean a session as opposed to a catalog? The lock catalog/unlock catalog options are not available in the case of a session. (Though they seem to be on the menu, just greyed out.)

    Are you on the background layer, or perhaps on a heal or clone layer? (The tools would be greyed out on heal or clone layers.) 

    Are you working with images that can be edited? (For instance if you are working with JPGs, is JPG editing enabled in Preferences?)

    Figured it out, I had inadvertently clicked on the Trash folder.  Sheesh!
