Having the same problem; I notice it when trying to run a slide show. The slide show does not advance frames and then crashes.

CO v23 worked for an hour or so, and then it began hanging. The entire system hangs and I am unable to force quit. I have to hard boot to recover.

CO23 is freezing/crashing no matter what I do. I cant even switch images, select menus, nothing. I can't do anything at all without it freezing and force closing it. I've uninstalled/reinstalled it twice.
Absolutely unusable.

New to Capture One. Have CO23. Frequently crashes. Too many CO windows opened maybe? Does anyone actually answer/solve these questions here, or do we all just write in with our problems?

g262 - is your issue in fact precisely the same? What exact version of Capture One are you on? What exact version of MacOS? When does it crash for you - whenever you open a catalog (as the original post said), when you run a slide show (as one of the other participants in the discussion said), when you try to import images (as the last participant said), or what? If you want help, state the problem in more detail, and we'll see if we can sort it out with you.
And if you want a response from the Capture One support team, use the Request Support link at the top right of this page. This is primarily a user-to-user forum.

Ian Wilson , apologies for not being more accurate. I had just spent an hour just trying to get C1P to load my images on startup. I'm using the latest version 16.2.4.34. For me, it appears to be related to MacOS renaming the drive when remounting the same external storage device when not ejected properly... for instance, this morning, my external drive showed up in C1P as "extreme1", instead of "extreme", so I select "Locate", and it hangs... it finally resolved after restarting my MBP.
Again, my apologies for my behavior. And thanks for your response, Gary.
