Clearing a selection of photos for import

I am having one of those moments...I have a group of images (jpgs) selected and imported. Can't seem to clear the current selections, unless I uncheck each image individually. Im trying to import the NEF's from the same folder to a new location from the jpgs. Can't seem to unselect the images and rest;ect a new group for import.

    Click the first one, shift click the last one in the selection and then uncheck a check mark on one of them, should uncheck your selection.
