Can someone explain to me why reviews no longer render or are being produced in the background?

Why is it that when cropping there the crop overlay now defaults to a black overlay making it impossible to see what is being applied to the image? 

Is there a reason that after almost a full year of using CO22 now that CO23 is available for download CO22 no longer works? It's a good thing i still had Lightroom Classic installed on Mac, otherwise, I would have been screwed.

    Could be just a coincidence. Everything works well with me and the 15.4.2 release (the last v22).
