Number of CPU cores and processing speed
I am writing for the first time.
I'm using Capture One 21(Build 14.4.1).
I replaced the CPU in my computer today.
Before
CPU AMD Ryzen 7 2700X
M/B MSI X370 SLI PLUS
MEM DDR4-2666 16GBx4
SSD WD Black PCIe WDS256G1X0C
HD Seagate BarraCuda 3.5" 8TB
After
CPU AMD Ryzen 9 3950X
The BIOS of the motherboard has been updated to a compatible version.
Others are the same.
I processed 162 EOS-1DX RAW images.
Hardware Acceleration(Use OpenCL for)
Display -> Auto
Processing -> Auto
Before : 2700X
206 seconds
After : 3950X
191 seconds
Performance didn't change much.
I also test CINEBENCH R15 on this computer.
2700X : 1770cb
3950X : 3785cb
Is CaptureOne bad at multithreading?
I'm not good at English, so I rely on translation software.
Please forgive me if my reply is late.

I just want to say that CaptureOne may not take full advantage of multithreading capabilities, as it may not be optimized for that feature. However, without more information about the specific version of CaptureOne and the computer being used for testing, it is difficult to say for certain. Subaru Net

If you want to assess the difference of the CPUs and not test the graphics card, then you need to disable hardware acceleration. But I guess you don't want to swap back to the old CPU again for such a test?
