improvements from c1 20 on m1 mbp?
I just upgraded to a 14" mbp m1, which i love, but C1 doesn't seem to have any major performance improvements from my 8 years old mbp. The sliders are smoother, but otherwise, most tasks seem similar. Even the brush movements aren't smooth for me and occasionally don't even seem like they're brushing until i wait a second and start again.
I assume c1 20 must not be m1 capable and is running in rosetta? If so, is there any major reason for me to upgrade to 22? Would the performance be noticeably better, or should 20 run pretty good? Also, I see a few features each version, but nothing that majorly enticed me. However, now that is has been 3 versions, are there any number of unique features that would be worthy of upgrading?
I'm not the sort to just update for the sake of having the newest things (hence my 8 year old mbp, which i actually upgraded for neccessary video limitations/reasons) but I also realize i'm using a few year old version on a new platform architecture... Any help would be appreciated. I would just hate to upgrade and find there's no major difference, and going from 21 to 22 doesn't seem to be much faster based on some youtube benchmarks i've seen.

Update: I just found out how to check if an app is running in rosetta (using activity monitor) and apparently c1 20 is still intel based only. So I would have to assume there would indeed be a major performance improvement with 21+, but please still chime in on the questions I asked if anyone has any experience and I'll probably upgrade soon.
