New Update Scheme

So now even if I own the software, I have to pay for updates that are being released?

I thought I bought this version of the program for life. I dont need the new features and dont plan on upgrading. Don't expect much if any support for an old version to be honest. But if updates come out and are for my version of the program, I definitely expect to get them included in the purchase price. 

The way this company deals with money is unsettling. If I used Capture One professionally, I would not care much about the pricing if I felt it did something that other programs don't. And I thing that would be a lot of features. I am enjoying photography just for myself at the moment and am feeling glad that I did not continue to invest in Capture One.
