Upcoming changes to our perpetual license - Disappointing

Disappointing email to say the least.  I'll stick with captureone 22 until I get a new unsupported camera or my PC operating system changes require it.  At that point, I guess I'll go back to LR/PS.  IF I have to pay a subscription, I'll go with the cheaper option.  Certainly nothing in captureone that warrants the premium price difference.  Good while it lasted....

    I use Capture One since version 3 and I tested Capture One 23 a few days but was disappointed with the new features compared to version 22. That's why I decided against the much too expensive upgrade. But now it's enough, good bye Capture One. I think DxO PhotoLab for example is better for me.

    it's just a shame, a way to get us all to switch to subscriptions. the ability to upgrade the perpetual license was one of the best reasons to choose your software over Adobe's software. We don't want subscriptions, it's economic slavery. Having a software paid handsomely, suspended pending renewal is an abuse. I truly believe that, as happened with Adobe's software, we will begin to choose other software production houses (such as Affinity Serif) with more humane costs and perpetual update plans. I'm sorry but it's unacceptable, then don't complain about those who use your software in a pirated way.

    The only reason for switching from LR to Capture One was the perpetual license. And now this! Whenever companies are doing too well, they become rude to their customers and want to squeeze even more money out of them. This was the case with Adobe and now, unfortunately, with Capture One. If I like a version, I upgrade. With Capture One 23, there weren't enough new features for me. So I skip it. Maybe too few wanted the new version and now they are coming out the hard way. If they go through with this, I'm out of here! Of course they know that a change will cost the user a lot of effort and money and calculate (like Adobe) that even if many cancel, there will still be a higher profit. Disgusting! And bye!
