when I want to to shoot via tethering will my photos saved on both (camera card and iPad) simultaniously, so I can buy iPad on storage size

    It's clear that for editing on the iPad to work on the move (after disconnecting your camera) the files need to have been imported to your iPad's storage. Same counts for cloud sync/upload features.
    The question is whether images are stored on CF/SD-card at all during tethering.

    Saving on both iPad and Camera card is not officially supported yet, but depending on your camera firmware and settings it might work.

    No.  Images are only stored on the iPad.  I recently purchased a iPad Pro 11"  w/ 512g storage and it seems to be more than enough for my usage.

    It is possible to store photos on both iPad and camera if you are using Sony. I am using Sony and it works well
