Is it practical to not import and just work directly with the images on the network drive?
Or have the whole session folder on the network drive?

     (Never tried that myself.)

So I set the Session in the same folder as the raw and it's still taking hours to import and export. Am I setting up the Session wrong?

I was thinking you could just Windows copy/move your images on the network drive into that network drive Session/Capture folder you created.
They then should just show up in C1 when you open that session?
    No need to Import. ?

    Hi Zac

Unfortunately this doesn't really work well with Capture One as it repeatedly donwloads the file while editing. Not sure why, as for edits Capture One should be working on the Thumbnail in your local database only. I have reported this issue to their tech support many times and never received an answer. If you are using a cloud storage or a network attached storage (NAS) I would recommend to download their app and make the files you plan working on offline available. When you have finished editing you can then free up space again in the Cloud / NAS app. I have been working like this on a QNAP NAS using the QSync app for several months now and its worked very well.

    Best wishes and merry Christmas
