Live View Issue
Ok, so yet another issue with C1P and live view. I'm hoping someone can help. Sorry, its a long one...
(I'm currently on C1P v.22 as V.23 is not working for me which is being investigated as a separate issue).
I have a Canon 5DRS. I have a Yongnuo wireless shutter release in the hotshot of my camera, so I can remote trigger the shutter. On top of that I have a Neewer trigger to fire my strobe lights. I can use all of this while connected to C1P. I can fire the camera from the shutter on the body, from the wireless trigger AND from C1P. So it's great, it gives me real flexibility when composing and moving around the set. What I CANNOT use now is live view mode. Live view will open and displays a dark image, but too dark to focus. The sliders for live view brightness are greyed out. When I use the shutter release from live view it does not fire the strobes, but DOES release the camera shutter. If I use the shutter release from the main window (not live view window) it fires everything fine. If I place my Canon speedlite onto my camera hotshoe, Live view works and fires the flash and strobes. (I can get a screen up to focus from using the DOF button which brightens it for me to focus, the sliders are still greyed out though).
Is this something to do with radio vs. optical? As I understand it, my speedlite is optical, but the Yongnuo/Neewer are radio. Maybe the optical aspect is how the live view gets its image onto screen???
