"Refine" adjustments

I noticed that adjustments are automatically made (such as noise reduction and sharpening) when importing ARW or DNG files.

How can I prevent this?

    You could reduce the sharpening, or the NR, to zero, then click the ... on the tool, and choose to set that as the default for your camera. You'd have to do it separately for the NR and for the sharpening. And if you have more than one model of camera you must dod it separately for each.

    This will affect new imports from that camera, but it won't change existing files.

    Any time you decide you no longer want that, you can choose the option to reset it to the defaults.
