Tethering Capture One to Phase One DF camera & P45+ back?
Now that firewire support is discontinued has anyone using similar hardware come across a way of working tethered to more recent versions of C1? The P45+ only has a firewire connector.... For example, are there any converters or adapters being used successfully?
I currently use an older version of C1 on a mac which does support firewire. It's ok - but, for example, it would be nice to use features in C1 22 or 23..
Thanks.

Hi SFA - yes have asked on Phase One forum. The only reply was from a Phase One staffer who reiterated using an old version of C1 was the only way. He did mention that there were various converters or adaptors out there but of dubious tethering reliability. Inevitably this has raised my curiosity - hence asking here...

Yes, you can tether Capture One to a Phase One DF camera with a P45+ back. Here are the basic steps:
Connect the camera to your computer via a tethering cable. Make sure the camera is turned on.
Launch Capture One on your computer.
In the "Capture" tool tab, click on the "Camera" button.
Select "Phase One DF" as the camera model.
Select "P+ series" as the back model.
Click on "Connect" to establish the connection between the camera and Capture One.
You should now be able to control the camera from within Capture One and capture images directly to your computer. SkyWard Alpine-2 -
Thank you Skyward but I'm afraid you've missed the point. I do currently tether my Phase One DF & P45+ with Capture One using a firewire cable. However from Capture One 22 onwards tethering using firewire is no longer possible/supported. Hence I'm unable to tether with a current version of C1, forced to remain on an old version. I was looking for methods to adapt my firewire connection to a type of connector that C1 does support (eg USB3).
