Hi my layers don't work ?
Hi, I started to work with Capture One again a couple of months ago. I really like it.
I've moved a lot of retouching from PSD to Capture one and I really enjoy the workflow.
But for some reason my layers do not work at all now ?
I'm on Capture One 22 pro Build 15.4.1.7 and macOS Ventura 13.0.1
If you have any suggestions on how to solve my problem please let me know.
Best
Jorgen

Please say more what you are trying to do and how. It's hard to tell from what you've said what might be going on.

Hi Ian, Ok.
So I have an image in Capture One where I want to remove a tomato on a white table.
So I mark the clone tool and I get a new layer, I alt klick and get the spot that I want to use to clone away the tomato. But I don't get any "reaction" from the program as I'm used to.
Does my question make sense ? Same thing with band aid/repair tool

It is actually this slit in the table that I want to remove. So I get the marking for where I want to clone, but I do not get the clone's function so to speak.

If you right click when you have the clone brush, have you checked that the flow and opacity are set to 100%? Also is the brush an appropriate size?

You were right, my settings where of. So that is great, but now I can mark the slit but it does not disapear.
So to speak. I'm sure I'm forgetting something here as well.

It won't disappear while the mask is still showing. It has to show the slit while the mask is on, so that you know where to brush. If you turn of the Mask (press M) does it disappear?

Yes it does, Ian I'm sorry to have bothered you with these questions. I'm back on track.
I'll be watching Your great tutorials again, thought I remembered it all but no I didn't.
Glad everything is working with your great program, not that pleased with my self. haha
So should I get the new Capture One 23 ?

You're welcome. (Not my tutorials though - I'm just another user participating in the forum.)
Whether you should get version 23 is up to you. You could try the 30 day trial, and see whether the new features are good for you. But beware of the 30 days - they are changing the deals and pricing structure at the end of January so you might not want to use the whole 30 days to decide. And if you do try it out it might be best to do it on a new session or catalog with a few images rather than have your existing one upgraded to the new version 23 and have to go back to the version 22 one afterwards if you decide you don't like it.
