better or worse performance if Capture One 23 is installed on a drive separate from Windows OS?
I'm asking in regards to a relatively new PC desktop running Windows 10 with multiple M.2 NVMe SSDs... Is there better or worse performance if Capture One 23 is installed on a drive separate from the one the OS is on? I know some people isolate the OS from their other apps and data files.
Thank you in advance for your help.

I don't think it makes any difference, I would install C1 as any other application. Once the app is started it's cached in memory anyway.
I once separated my C1 catalog and the original raw images (Windows and C1 app installed on the C: drive M.2 NVMe, catalog on a Samsung SSD drive, original image files on another Samsung SSD drive) and did not observe noticable improvements e.g. on export nor a smoother user experience.
My general advice is to separate Windows plus apps from data though, but not for performance considerations rather for backup and restore.
