Capture One 23 only saving jpg files

I think that's under the NetworkTransfer/RemotePC Remote Function

I think you need to set the Still Img. Save Dest. to PC+Camera

Set the RAW +J PC Save Img. to RAW & JPEG or RAW Only

The RAW options are only available if File Format is set to RAW & JPEG or RAW & HEIF

File Format is found in Shooting → Image Quality → Image Quality Settings → File Format

Thanks LVS. I checked everything you suggested, and all of my settings match. Tried C1 again today, but it didn’t change.

I noticed in the naming area on tether it shows the name with the .jpg format. I don’t have any way to change it to .awr

If I can’t tether Raw direct into C1 and my external hard drive, then what’s the point. I would have to import RAW from my camera card which defeats the purpose.

FYI, I submitted an email to C1 support but still waiting for a response

Was there any response from C1? I'm having the same issue. I think it started after I updated Sony's firmware on my A7IV.

For ppl who have this issue:

I think it happened also after I updated to v2.00 on my a7IV.

    Here's how I fixed it:

Connect via USB remote shooting, go to settings > Network > (1) cnct./ PC Remote > Remote Shoot Setting > Save Image Size  and change from 2MP to Original (how dumb was sony for not set Original by default?)

Also you should change the save destination from Destination + Camera to just Destination so your card is not polluted when duplicates.

    Cheers!

Same issue after updating firmware on Sony A7RV to 2.0

NETWORK - Remote Shoot Setting - Save Image Size - Original

So stupid that it changes it after to update

That setting fixed it for me too, but I find that with a Sony A7iv (33MP), it takes 3 seconds for the image to show up in C1 if I have it set to RAW Lossless (small).  Lossless (large) takes about 6 seconds.  I didn't try uncompressed, but I imagine that would take even longer.

I was hoping that if I set it to RAW+JPEG, that it would transfer the JPEG first and show that as a preview while it downloaded the RAW in the background. Sadly, that just makes it take longer to get anything.

I'm currently evaluating if I want to upgrade to the 2023 version to gain this wireless tethering feature.  I currently have the 2020 version which works fine but doesn't support wireless on this camera, but I don't know if it's worth the upgrade.

If I leave Save Image Size at 2MP, it's nice and snappy and I can use that to show my models their photos, but as a way of transferring the images directly to my laptop it just isn't fast enough.

Romain, you are the man! I've been trying to solve this for days. I have a shoot coming up and C! support is freaking slow. You saved my bacon. THANK YOU!

Good find. The issue was Sony's firmware update and not Capture One.
