Capture adjustments not applied automatically

When shooting tethered using 'copy from clipboard' for next capture adjustments, the adjustments I've set (exposure, HDR, clarity, white balance) do not apply until I make a manual adjustment ie. the image shows up with no adjustments applied, then if I use the rotation tool and rotate 1º the rest of the adjustments suddenly get applied. This doesn't always happen, so it's very hard to pinpoint what might be wrong.
