Pricing? shoot yourself in the foot C1
A C1-21 user had to do the upgrade to C1-23 as it no longer supported my new camera, did the trial 1st to make sure was stable etc etc. Did this last day of Jan23 and had to have C1 supports help with a license issue with the trial, all was fine, and went in today as was reminded had 7 days left on the trial... low and behold C1 is at it again as of feb 14th changed again pricing, NO LONGER get 33% off your upgrade, have to buy a new license and get a loyalty discount of 20%. Not a mention of this from support when sent a query ref the license at the beginning of February and no email to tell me prices were changing! I understand things change and if value a product then need to pay but I'm questioning whether they actually value us as customers. I mean I pay £10 a month for both adobe PS and LR and I'm now questioning do I really need C1 and all the lack of support they give to their client base. Maybe a few versions ago I do think C1 gave a better result than LR but it is so so close now even if anything and even the tethering is not far behind. Sorry C1 but you really don't help yourself. And to add so little difference apart from a few minor details from C1-21 and C1-23 and call it a new version.

New features since the end of Capture One 21 to date include
- Panorama stitching
- HDR merging
- Auto rotate
- Capture One Live
- Magic eraser (to go with the earlier magic brush)
- Smart Adjustments
- New culling and import feature
- Layers in Styles
- Change Capture Time
- Variants in albums
- Move background adjustments to new layer
Whether you regard those as a few minor details obviously depends on what you are hoping for, but several of those are things that quite a few users had been requesting for quite a while.

Agreed! I rarely use C1 - I had a student/teacher discount and was paying around $10 a month. Just happened to notice my new charge is like $30/month or 250 for the year. I reverified as a teacher and got a discount code that applied but didn't change the price from 250 a year. Simply not worth it for me now, bye C1 - maybe I'll be back once this mess is sorted.

There has been a bunch of very good new features since v21. Unfortunately, camera support is thing you have to live with :(.
Ask for a discount in support. In may work.
I am a bit worried C1 goes to subscription only.. we will see.
Cheers

Been a user of C1 from the beginning and am extremely disappointed in this model and the fact that I have to learn Lightroom now. I really like this program but I think they are going down and I am jumping ship.

Does anybody know how to upgrade anyway? I was writing several times to the support and it's like... there is no support at all.... I've been using c21-22 but it sometimes works with my R5 and sometimes not... the 23 trial did the thing but seriously I have to pay the whole fee? I've been using the C1-21 and C1-22... none of them worked with my R5 flawlessly.

I too had this same issue with a Fuji camera though and I too had to pay £239 for an upgrade to get C1 to work with my camera. C1 are trying to push us all to the subscription model I feel. Is C1 really worth that fee though with the amount of software available now, LR, Affinity, DXO photolab 6 to name but 3 and the cost of the styles is also very high and some are really poor.
