Selecting multiple images and sending to Photoshop as one .psd or .tiff
For reference, I'm referring to Lightroom's feature where you can single right click a selection of images and then "edit in Photoshop as layers" and a SINGLE PSD is made in the catalog from all the images stacked together.
I've submitted two different video examples showing the issue over the past 3 years and received no input from the C1 team. This continues to be a reason most pro photographers that shoot automotive and real estate don't want to switch to C1.
Stitching is not an option. Your stitching function will make EITHER a jpg variant of each selection in the catalog or a PSD variant of each selection in the catalog. The correct way this should work is Capture One should make one PSD variant from all the images selected so the catalog does not bloat and when the single PSD is saved in PS, the ONE PSD should automatically update in C1 as it does currently when you right click and edit and send one variant to Photoshop.

I've requested this years ago and I wasn't the only one. Don't hold your breath.

Glad to hear I'm not the only one. Trust me, I hear about it all the time when I attempt to convert people from LR to C1. I have some workarounds, but it would make a lot more sense to have this included in the software. I had some support guys write me back years ago mentioning that I need to talk to Adobe about that, but I see no reason why that's true. The variant that's the current selection becomes the base layer, create a psd variant in the catalog like always, and stitch the other images into that PSD. Do not require users to make a stitching export recipe to make all this possible. Just pull up the variant export dialogue box like always. Let me confirm the active selection is my base background layer / psd variant, and send all the other layers out as jpgs to that psd document, and do not add those jpgs to the catalog list.
