CAPTURE ONE has unexpectedly stopped working.
I have been using Capture One with no issues for the past year. Last night I installed WIN Ver Capture One 23.Win.16.1.0 and now it will not start. Everything has been fine up to this point. My MACBOOK is still working but I have not installed the update yet. going to hold off if this is the issue.
Request assist.

I think you would need to tell us more. What happens when you try to start it? Anything or nothing at all? How are you trying to start it - from a desktop icon, by navigating to the .exe file, etc? What version of Windows are you using?
(And as far as the MacBook is concerned, I would have thought that there would be no reason for the same problem to arise. I use Macs, and my experience is that the latest release works fine on both a MacBook and an iMac, both now running the latest update of MacOS Ventura. But If you are concerned I would make sure that you have a working backup using Time Machine or similar before installing.)

I don't run a lot of programs on my computer, pretty much just email, PS, and Capture One, and Internet, so I don't usually install anything new... too often, but I do use McAfee. I forgot about that, and McAfee was blocking CAPTURE ONE 23, 22 was not blocked. Anyway, it was the firewall that was causing the issue. Thanks for the assist.

Hi.
I just loaded the 16.1.0 version on my Windows 8.1 system and the Icon to launch does nothing.
I don't have a virus program running other than Windows Defender.
I reverted back to 16.0.2 and all is fine.
Any suggestion's would be great.

You said the icon didn't work, you tried the windows start key, select Capture One and exe. When absolutely nothing happens, check for a connection error.

I tried the windows start key, select Capture One and exe and still does not show up.
I reverted back to 16.0.2 again and that works fine. So possibly because of Windows 8.1.
