Upgrade to C1 23 - where are my old V20 images?

Hi. I have just upgraded from C1 20, to C1 23 (subscription). I have been told by C1 that upon upgrade all the images within V20 will appear in V23. Unfortunately, that hasn't been my experience - though thank goodness the images still appear within V20 which is still on my Mac (phew!). 

All advice appreciated regarding how to get V23 to see my images from V20. Do I need to export them to V23 (how?)?

If and when I can get the images to appear in V23, will my associated storage be doubled, or will the images remain in one place and simply be 'mirrored' in each version of C1?

    No need to export.

    After installation open your existing catalog(s) or session(s) with v23, you will be asked to upgrade them. A backup copy is helpful because after upgrade you cannot open it anymore with v20.

     'mirrored' in each version of C1?

    No, an upgraded catalog or session cannot be opened with an older version of C1.
