To my understanding, the OP has created layers with a mask and adjustments the other day. The next day, the layers are still there, the adjustments too, but the mask is gone.Correct?

Yes, it should not overwrite the EXIF data and keep Samyang data in the exported image.If you are willing to share are raw file, I would like to look into this for my curiosity.
