The character styles are evident while writing, i.e., italics look as they should. When posted, however, I cannot discern that are in effect.

I just tested looking for the error and could not duplicate. It might be helpful for you both to list your OS and C1 version. I am using the previous release of C1 (13.1.0.162) on Windows 8.1

I believe this is a known issue which awaits resolution. You may wish to revert to the previous version. It's events like this that keep me from being an early adopter of software/OS updates.

Today for no known reason, C1 20 began to invoke the 32 bit version of PS whenever Edit With or Open With was chosen from the context menu and I cannot make it revert to opening the 64 bit version....
