Yes, files are closed (I save as TIFF) and move on to the next photo to edit.I was working last night and a file took 45 minutes to finally appear after save.

FYI: Apple just released their Digital Camera RAW Compatibility 5.07 which will enable Media Pro to render Nikon D810 raw files. It's a free download.
