File size tiff limitation very frustrating

I get tiffs from a drumm scanner which are about 4gig in 16 bit (beyond 50000x50000 pixels). These tiffs cannot be opened in C1Pro vs 7. When will the compony recognize at least that this issue has...

max pixel or file size limt of single tiff

i would like to process 3,6gig tiff files i get out from my drumscanner. how is the file size limit in capture sw?thxs
