    Hmmm, so why then was version 5 not a problem for this - the more Mp the slower they were, no weirdness like 16Mp Panny files taking 4X longer than 24Mp ones

    As I found out in another thread, Adobe DNG converter supports the Stylus-1 and the converted files work in Capture one so long as the Camera RAW 4.1 and later option is setup in the options .
