Purple Fringing problem show in C1 is not as bad as it shows

Hi guys,
I have a strange problem with C1 and purple fringing (10 years C1 experience.)
I took a shot and in the shot is a green tree (summer) through the foliage you can see the BG which is an overcast sky almost 95% white witch generate a LOT of purple fringing.
Normally I can solve this by adjusting the purple fringing slider but now it is extreme.
So to get rid of that I went the normal way, check lens profile and adjust the purple fringing but it is far too much to get rid of.
Tried generic lens profile, bit better but then I introduce a lot of other distortion problem, so not the way to go.
Since there is no other purple in the shot I could eliminate the most by selecting the purple and desaturate in color adjustment but this is not the way C1 is meant to be so I started to investigate further.
When I zoom in on the spot it is much less (strange)
But then I send the image by 'edit in' to Photoshop as a 16 bit psd and the fringing is almost gone (very strange) Now when I take a look in C1 at the psd version it made (WITHOUT CHANGING ANYTHING IN PS) the purple fringing is almost gone.
So next test, export the picture with the purple fringing to a JPG
Guess what, no purple fringing.
So conclusion:
C1 does not give the user a correct impression of the purple fringing problem.
Hope your developers team can have a look into that.
Thanks for your time and success

Hi @...
It has always been the case in my experience that you don't see the proper effect of applying purple fringe correction in Capture One unless you zoom in to 100%. Nevertheless it is apples and does improve out put files such as JPGs. (The same goes for a few other things, such as noise reduction.)
Hope your developers team can have a look into that.
Bear in mind that you are not addressing the developers here - this is a user-to-user forum.
You could consider making a feature request for a makeover of the purple fringing tool.

Thanks for the early reply Ian.
I have never seen it it this much in prior shots over the years, and if there was any, it could always be removed enough by the PF slider but this time it was so much, in fact to much to let it go therefor my kinda investigation further into this problem.
Since I know know that this is a matter of representation by C1 (confirmed by you) in the future I do what I can in C1 and export it to PS to see the results (which I normally do for local adjustments like e.g. removing dirt from the streets).
But it shocked me a bit since I am a true C1 fan after changing from LR 10 years ago.
I tried to find a way to post this to the Developers team but when I search I came to a dead end street since the did not accept request to improvement anymore as in your link
you have to go to : https://captureone.ideas.aha.io/
I'll try it there too but I hoped someone would read it here too.
Thanks again and have a nice day

Yes the page I linked to tells us how to go to aha.io
It might be worth searching there to see whether there is already a request about this which you could upvote. Also if you submit a fresh one, you might like to consider including other aspects of the PF tool - I know that some users would value it being able to tackle green fringing too.

Done that, searched, no 100% match to the problem so I added "an idea"fro improvement with explanation.
It's a pity but googling I find quite some people complaining about this but nobody did a test like I did so there is probably no problem but the visual representation is not correct.
So thanks for the back up and insides, hope we will have solution for this strange behaviour in the near future.
Have a nice weekend, greetings from Amsterdam
