One Catalog --> Multiple Sessions
I became a Capture One user a few years ago, and have been using strictly sessions, except ...
I have one catalog (created from a Lightroom import) that I would like to break down into individual sessions. I can do this by creating new sessions (one by one), and then exporting everything (including edits) in each catalog "folder" to each new session. However, that requires duplicating each and every image.
It seems that there has to be a better way. What am I missing? Is there a way to create the new session in each individual folder since all the images (and edits) are already there? Or are there any other methods that don't require exporting (and duplicating) each image? Any other tips to streamline the process?
Thanks in advance.

Here is my feature request for synchronizing(basically exporting) the edits from a catalog to the file system (CaptureOne/Settingsxxx folders created or used by a session). Please consider commenting and upvoting
Or even better, submit a request on your own:

I have had the same problem, I used to work with a catalog and wanted to create sessions (not quite, I only need the CaptureOne/... folders so that I can use any session to work with the images).
I exported all images from each system folder from the catalog library (export originals incl. adjustments) and then copied the CaptureOne folder to the path of the original images which are
referenced by the catalog. I then eleted the exported original files, hence no duplicate image files.Btw I use a combination of catalog and a session. Catalog for searching, session for editing, drag/drop from the catalog to the session in order to easily find the images from the sessions.
